Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t listen to the 1 star reviewer I’m not sure what the 1 star reviewer knows about softball gloves or basically gloves in general however the Rawlings HOH catcher glove is top notch. The HOH leather used is going to take more time to break in because it’s their top quality leather. If oiled properly and conditioned this glove will last you a lifetime. My daughter just transitioned to an HOH and couldn’t be happier. I’ve been using mine now for 4 years and absolutely love it. My advise is to try every glove you want and see what fits you best. For me the Rawlings HOH is a no brainer. Good luck in your search and season!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Mitt Ever I am signed to play Division 1 softball. I like the Liberty advanced mitt, but over time a hole has worn in it in the padding and I needed a new one. I assumed the Heart of the Hide would be better than the Liberty advanced because it is their premiere line, but it is much worse. First of all this mitt took way longer to break in than any other mitt I’ve had, and it has absolutely no grip. I have never had an issue with the ball sliding out of the mitt catching until I bought this glove. I have tried several methods to increase its grip/stick, and nothing has worked. I’ve had this mitt for less than a year. This mitt is just about unusable because the ball doesn’t stay in it half the time. It’s gotten to where I’ve had to go back to using my old mitt, which has barely any padding, but at least the ball sticks. I don’t recommend buying this mitt!
