Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inconsistent Quality Control I purchased 2 custom heart of the hides within a week of each other; this one which is an all black TT2 and an all tan 200 series which I previously did a review on. I initially noticed that the break in was not FIRM like I had ordered and that the leather was noticeably thinner than the tan 200 series I had received a week earlier. I also noticed that the thumb loop/sleeve was different than my 200 series and looked like it had been done in a rush. Overall it’s a decent enough glove, but having compared it to my custom tan heart of the hide (which is awesome), the leather on this glove is thinner and far less firm and the thumb loop is not as nice. I’m disappointed with the inconsistency between the two gloves and can’t recommend spending all that money on a custom glove anymore. If I could return it, I definitely would.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from havent received custom glove yet its been 8 wks my only isssue as of yet is when checking status of glove the only info you can obtain is that you ordered a custom glove and once you select purchase you do not get an itemized detail of the glove you ordered it just disappears off the web site would really be a nice feature to see order status and what you ordered i can see how this could be. a problem especially with some of these bad reviews saying rawlings messed up the order and won't do anything about it wish i read the reviews before purchase i would have not made this order very cooncerned hoping glove comes as ordered spent $429.00

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Catcher’s Mitt on the Market I ordered my 12yr old a custom Heart of the Hide catcher’s mitt and was delivered at the end of July. Figured it would take all fall and winter to get broke in for the spring season, but with a little help from Dad (me), he was able to get game ready in less then 2 months using the Rawlings Gloveolium, mallet and rubber bands. He is already using in games for his fall travel ball team. He loves it!! Best glove on the market!

I've always wanted to g8vecher a custom glove thus this is her big Christmas gift from me! It is beautiful just beautiful. It is my sincere hope that she will be thrilled, and I am sure she will be!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The glove too stiff to review after a few days. My son’s new glove arrived last week. Rawlings is asking me to review the glove after we have had it about ten days. My son can almost catch a ball with it, we are still breaking it in. We have a long way to go before he will be able to give a full review of the glove. His new glove will be ready by the first spring game. So far, the glove is outstanding. It is exactly what my son was expecting. The workmanship and the leather are great. It is exactly what we were expecting. Thanks Rawlings, but it’s too early to give a review. Let us break it in and my son will tell you what he thinks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly disappointed When I first received my glove, I couldn’t have been happier. It looked awesome. Everything about it was exactly as I had hoped. This was my first ever custome glove. As I was slowly breaking the glove in, which was going very well, I needed to righted the pinky sling. That’s when I got disappojnted. There was a manufacturing defect. The sling had a cut nearl two thirds of the way across the tie strap. Thankfully customer service issued an RA and my glove is being fixed.

Received my new glove which was the 4th one I have bought, this one was obviously incorrectly made I could not even get my hand in it without much discomfort. I sent it back and their "glove expert" said it was made correctly. So I gave it to someone who knows gloves and the only thing he could do was to unlace it and leave one hole for the hand opening out. Even doing this I still have trouble getting my hand in. I will probably never buy another Rawlings glove again.

We sent 3 emails and made many calls to customer service before finally getting a ship date. Ship date is 13 weeks after placing the order. Will follow up if and when we receive the glove.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No break in I recieved my custom glove. It looked amazing just like I hoped. The only issue for us was that I ordered it RTG and it came in with no break in at all. I couldn't even squeeze it. I had to pay to get it worked twice just so I could squeeze it. We'll get it to work but definitely disappointed.
