Bought this over the Renegade R9!
I've been using a 14" softball fielders mitt for outfield for years, just recently got put at first in a mens baseball league and was struggling. Picked up this new first basemans mitt and its like night and day. Great deep pocket, super soft leather, and only took a day of malleting and a few days of playing catch to really break things in. I bought a Renegade R9 at the same time and sent the R9 back. The player preferred was able to break in with 2 in the pinkie and form a great two point hinge. Overall I'm loving this mitt, would be a great glove for any high schooler or adult league player.

Great quality/Missing emblem/How do I loosen it???
Bought this last week and just received it. Quality is excellent, however the glove is not exactly like it is in the photo on the website. The R emblem on the back of the pocket is not on there. Doesn't really matter as I'm sure there is no functionality to it, just saying. Next question, and maybe this shows my inexperience, but how exactly do I loosen the opening for my hand? It's too tight, I struggle to get my hand in it and its design doesn't make sense to me...

No regrets.
I bought this glove model over 54 years ago, and I still have it and use it. The first 5 years I had it, I used it frequently and heavily. Since then, I used it occasionally in pick up games and games of catch with my son and grandson. It has weathered well, and I have never thought I would want another mitt. I have no regrets purchasing this mitt. Thanks Rawlings.

Im not going to lie i had the best game of my life wearing this glove i had 9 outs in total. I was scooping baseballs like ice cream. Best glove ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
