Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and craftsmanship! I purchased this glove immediately after touching it at the Rawlings store near me. It is absolutely gorgeous and it has every bit of quality and functionality I have come to expect from Rawlings. I have always played with Rawlings gloves since I was a kid. This will be the glove that I will wear to play catch with my oldest son until he goes to college. I will likely need one more glove to get my youngest son off to college, but I will always stick with Rawlings. Hopefully, my sons will do the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, well constructed classic pattern Just received this glove today so I can't comment on it's playability but I can say it is a beautiful mitt and the quality of the leather and laces look impeccable. It is quite stiff so it's going to require a good amount of break-in time before it's game usable. Hopefully, I can update this review afterwards. A couple of unexpected things I would like to mention in case it makes a difference to the reader. It is a 12 1/2' glove (marked on the palm below the model#) and not 13" as it says in the spec. I've definitely seen and worn bigger !B mitts. I would say that it would be totally appropriate for a U14 player with larger hands as well as mature players. Also, I was surprised to see that nowhere on the mitt does it say it is a Paul Goldschmidt model. It is marked with the limited sequence number (XX/144). Makes no difference to me but it might to those who collect gloves. Other than that, it was exactly as specified. I would call the padding middle-of-the-road compared to other !B mitts. It does have the split-sectioned palm which should facilitate a nice deep pocket while allowing a "heel" at the top of the finger area for scooping low throws. The webbing is double secured (leather strip as well as lacing) so hopefully it will hold up well, All-in-all my initial impressions are that it seems to be an excellent mitt that will hopefully serve the player well for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this glove This is my 4th Rawlings HOH glove that I own and it is by far my favorite glove. I got it earlier this year for slow pitch softball and its perfect. I play short and left and I use it for both. Great glove for outfield. (and infield for softball lol)

The Heart of the Hide steer hide leather is an outstanding quality! This extremely high quality leather assures the glove will retain the shape you break it in to for ages. Laces feel thick and supplIt still needs to be worked in, but my son is looking forward to it!

I don’t play much anymore, but I can use this for that occasional baseball/slow pitch game. Royal blue is nice and looks much better in person. Still in the process of breaking it in but I’m at the point where I am playing catch with it. This thing pops! A versatile, pro style glove with flash!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beauty with flaws I’ve owned this glove for a little over 2.5 years. Up to recently, I thought that this glove just needed extended time to break in. But, the more I use it, the more I realize that the design of the glove causes balls to pop out of the pocket. Pocket is huge, balls rattle around and sometimes will pop out. Beautiful glove, bad design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality check Love the gold oval. Timber glaze is similar to a leather a western boot would be constructed of. The glove I received had a bad wrinkle in the index finger palm area. It was very noticeable. And is getting worse. I thought mallet work would help the leather relax, or smooth out. But has since gotten worse. The webbing was very loose, as well as the wrist. The webbing has glue or adhesive around the stitching. The back shell of the glove is very inconsistent as far as color goes. The glove has a good firmness. Rawlings has nailed glove comfort. The padded thumb is awesome. The pinky ring stall could be a little bit better when it comes to adjustability, but not bad at all. I really try to look past the flaws in this glove. Paying $20 over a regular HOH, and seeing how sloppy the glove was put together is very upsetting. This is making me second guess customizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome glove I bought this glove a couple of years back and it has been amazing, and everyone who plays baseball should buy it. I have had many gloves over the course of the last 10 years and this one is by far my favorite. I have used this glove mainly in the infield, but it can also work for the outfield and pitching if there is no other option available. It is a very comfortable glove that is made from leather and has a good look to it. It is also a very carefully made glove by professionals using durable materials so you know that it will not suddenly fall apart in the middle of a game. This glove is also used by many professional baseball players who have had years of experience and could essentially choose whatever glove they wanted. On top of all of that, when I am using this glove, my confidence is boosted knowing that I have a glove that will perform up to my expectations. I also have a sense of pride while using this glove because many other experienced players know how good of a glove it is. Because of that, many players may automatically assume that I know how to play baseball and may even be instantly intimidated. The last reason that you should buy this glove is for the emotional connection that will be made between you and this glove. I have gone through thick and thin using this glove and it is something that I will treasure for my entire life. I have won championships using this glove, have better learned to play the game and have incurred serious injuries as well, all of which contribute to how much I adore this glove and the memories made with it. I know that those are emotions that one will develop as well when they are using this glove, which is why it is a great glove to have.
